Bill Marsden was a postman in the Calder Valley for more than
30 years retiring in 1985 as sorting office supervisor of
Hebden Bridge.
As a national serviceman, he was able to take part in a
variety of sporting activities including glider flying and
middle distance running.
Since his retirement he has taken a keen interest in
photography and has produced many landscape pictures of the
Calder Valley.
He also keeps a watching brief on the demolition of property
and rebuilds for the Hebden Bridge History group.
For many years he was a sportswriter for the Hebden Bridge
Times and contributed articles to the Dalesman Magazine
