The Association plays a
very active role in initiatives to improve the business
environment of the town in addition to enhancing its
general environment and quality of life to encourage
additional residents, investment and visitors, for
example:

Erecting and maintaining all white
Christmas lighting in Hebden Bridge

Lobbying
extensively against on street parking charges.

Co-ordinating theme weekends

Actively contributing
to the planning and design of the Square and

Organising visitor surveys.

Bridge Gate
re-development.

Organising Police liaison at times of town centre
crime waves.

Lobbying for natural materials and period
lighting to be used.

Obtaining increased Police activity as and when
problems arise.

Forming a Town Partnership to pursue
grants for regeneration.

Sponsoring hanging flower baskets and floral
competitions.

Spearheading improved parking and
traffic flow plans for the town.

Assisting in improving the town's image and
environment.

Lobbying for the provision of coach
parking facilities.

Lobbying for improved Local Authority services
including maintenance

Launching our own www.hebdenbridge.com website and database.

Providing strong representation on
the Hebden Bridge Town Partnership, Producing and financing ad. campaigns to promote
Hebden Bridge.
