CIC Handmade Parade CIC creates bold, colourful events through a unique coming-together of professional parade artists and community participation. Since the first annual parade in Hebden Bridge in 2008, we've generated a riot of stunning procession and pageant art, including giant puppets, stilt walkers, animatronics, a samba band, a parade band, masks, costumes and lanterns.

Handmade Parade brings carnival to the streets! Through everyone-welcome workshops, people get a unique chance to join in, learn lots of hands-on skills, have fun, and celebrate in the streets and festivals.

Duck Race 2011!
2011-03-17 11:03:49

The Hebden Bridge Duck Race will be held on Easter Monday, 25th April 2011.

Hebden Bridge is rightly famous for its many independent shops and the wide variety of cafés, pubs and restaurants that can be found in the town centre. To complement these facilities, and to add to the festive atmosphere of the day, there will be live music from a jazz band, charity stalls, face painting and children’s rides.

The race will start at 3.15pm, when the ducks are launched from St George's Bridge.

The winning numbers will be announced by 4.00pm and on display in St George's Square.

Tickets will be available to buy on the two weekends before Easter and on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, from the ticket sales stall, St George's  Square, in the centre of Hebden Bridge.
